Microsoft Teams for Win 10 and Win 11 is now available on the Microsoft Store

Finally, the time has come. On Windows 10 and Windows 11, Microsoft Teams is now available for download in the Microsoft Store.

Microsoft first hinted at the app's arrival in the store via a placement in the Microsoft 365 roadmap many weeks ago. However, if you want to use this store version of the software, keep in mind that it only works with work and school accounts on Windows 11. However, with Windows 10, the program supports all accounts, even consumer accounts.

Don't expect the Store version of Teams to behave any differently than the one available for download from Microsoft's website. In our tests on Windows 11, the software is identical to the one available for manual download from Microsoft, even down to the version number (1.5.00.11163.) Additionally, installing this Store version on Windows 11 appears to update and replace our earlier Microsoft Teams for business and school install from Microsoft's website.

This is mainly about making it easier to download Teams so you don't have to go to Microsoft's website. Teams now joins Microsoft's other apps in the Microsoft Store, including Visual Studio, Microsoft Edge, the Office suite, and PowerToys.
